We are an Independent Christian church, all non-believers and believers from any denominations are welcome.
We don’t care what you wear to church worship service, the important thing is that you are there to worship God!
For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God! It is important for you to know we are regular people and we accept you no matter who you are or where you have been.
At times, we live stream Prayer & Share (check our Facebook and YouTube pages). Pastor Andrew Van Kuren and his wife Sheila talk about particular passages. We list live streaming schedules on our Facebook page and here on our website.
You may not feel comfortable contacting us locally, here is a link to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association's website, Peace With God.

We are a body of believers in Jesus Christ and the saving grace extended by God the Father.
All non-believers, atheists, fellow believers, Christians from all denominations are welcome to join us in worship.
It is important for you to know we are regular people and we accept you no matter who you are or where you have been.
Sometimes, it is easier to define ourselves by what we Do Not believe or how we Do Not behave.
We don’t care what you wear to worship service, the important thing is that you are there!
We don’t have exclusive membership requirements or expect you to measure up to unrealistic expectations.
We don’t believe our leaders are “holier than thou” and should be allowed to judge you. For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God!
We don’t talk a good game about Jesus Christ on Sunday then not live out our faith the rest of the week.
We don’t turn people away because we are threatened by their personality or belief structure.
We don’t care about your reputation or past sins.
We don’t care who you are related to.
We don’t care how much money you do or do not have.
WE DO CARE…
We do care about your soul!
We do pray for God to send us one person every day we can share His love with.
We do believe in living, acting out our faith and showing others the love of Jesus Christ.
We do care about what is on the inside (character) of a person.
We do strive to show respect for all of God’s children.
We do seriously listen to fellow believers and non-believers, we strive to answer your questions with respect and dignity, too.
We do care about our community and how we can serve others, truly acting out our faith.
We do care about you, today, now, and the impact we have on others as Christians.
We do care about living our lives according to Jesus’ teachings this day and going forward.
We do recognize and respect differing opinions regarding religious beliefs, practices and behaviors.
We do believe there is only one way to God the Father and that is through Jesus Christ our Savior!
We believe God is the ultimate uncreated being who created the entire universe in six days. He is responsible for sustaining everything within the universe by his will and is rightful of our highest praise. Perfect in every way, God is incomprehensible to the human mind, He possesses incommunicable and communicable attributes. God offers redemption and wants a relationship with each of us. It is rightful to direct our prayers of thanksgiving and requests to him.
Biblical Refences: Gen. 1&2; Mal. 3:6-15; Ps. 90:2; John 5:26; Matt. 3:17; John 1:1-2; Jam. 1:17; Ps. 139:7-10; 1 Sam. 2:2; Job 38-42; Luke 18:19; Matt. 28:18-19; Acts 17:24-25; Duet. 6:4.
We believe Jesus Christ is the only son of God and is fully God. Jesus Christ is the Messiah foretold by prophecy, He was born of the virgin Mary, He is fully human without sin, incarnate and knows our human weaknesses. Jesus Christ propitiated our sins as he was crucified, dead and buried according to the sacred scriptures. We believe in his triumphant resurrection from death and it is only through faith in him that we can obtain true salvation. He currently sits on the right-hand of God the Father and will return to earth to rule forever as the King of Kings.
Biblical References: John 1:1-14; 3:16-21; 8:58; 19:1-42; 20:1-23; Heb. 1:8, 4:15; Col. 1:15; Matt. 1:18, 28:18-20; Rom. 6:23; 1 Cor. 15:42; Luke 1:31-33; Rev. 21-22; 1 Peter 3:22.
We believe the Holy Spirit is co-equal to God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son (the Holy Trinity). The purpose of the Holy Spirit is to give believers in Christ the power, boldness and tenacity to proclaim the good news of salvation. Also, the Holy Spirit works within peoples’ hearts for salvation’s sake, spiritual maturity, worship, love, humility and to be more “Christ-Like” in our everyday behavior. Upon repenting sins and believing by faith Jesus Christ is the one and only Savior the Holy Spirit enters the soul, the believer is then “sealed” by the Holy Spirit.
Biblical References: Eph. 1:13-14, 4:11-16; Rom. 8:15-17; 2 Cor. 3:18; 1 Cor. 12:11-17; Gal. 5:16; Luke 3:15-18; Matt. 28:19; Acts 1:5-8, 2:2-4, 14-39; John 3:5-6.
The Bible is God’s Holy communication to us and was written by men who breathed out God’s words. The Bible is inerrant, infallible, it is evidence of God’s existence, reveals God’s character and his love for us. We believe it is the Holy text provided for us by God’s authority and applies to all aspects of our lives and faith.
Biblical References: 2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21; John 17:17; Heb. 4:12; Col. 1:5; 1 Pet. 1:3-7; Rom. 1:19-20.
We believe God created humans in His image, we possess various attributes and characteristics reflecting our Creator. Humans are God’s most valued creation and were created to glorify God. God gave humans dominion over all the earth and its creatures. However, due to Adam’s decision to sin against God, humans are all born with a sinful nature and are doomed to suffer death. God wants to have a relationship with each person, but sin separates them from their Creator. Therefore, it is only possible for humans to be saved by repenting of their sins and accepting Jesus Christ as their one and only Savior.
Biblical References: Rom. 5:12-20, 6:23; John 3:16; Gen. 1,2,3
We believe Salvation is the free gift from God through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. That who so ever believes in Christ and truly repents of their sins, shall not perish but have everlasting life. We believe in the eternal security of the believer doctrine.
Biblical References: John 3:16-17, 36; 5:24; 6:4-7; 6:38-40, 8:31-32, 10:27-29; 1 John 5:13; Rom. 5:12-20, 6:23, 8:1, 13:11; Eph. 1:13-14; 1 Peter 1:5; Matt. 10:22; Col. 1:22-23.
Physical death is the final result of living in a fallen/sinful world. We believe the end of physical life on earth in our human bodies is not the end of the existence of our souls. Eternity waits for all souls, the decisions we make while on earth effect our eternal lives, heaven and hell are real places. Condemnation and eternal suffering awaits the unbeliever (hell). While heavenly eternal joy, blessings awaits the believer in Christ (heaven).
Biblical References: 1 Cor. 4:5, 15:35-49; Matt. 10:15, 11:22-24, 12:36, 25:31-46, 23:33; Rev. 20:11-15, 21:1-2, 22:3; Rom. 2:5; Jude 6; 2 Tim. 4:1; Eccl. 12:14; Isa. 66:22; 2 Peter 3:13; 1 Peter 3:22.
We believe the church is the community of all true believers for all time. Christ is the head of the church and the church is his bride. Believer’s in Jesus Christ are to carry out leadership or supporting roles and routine duties of the church. Also, we believe the church should exalt God through worship, evangelize the world through proclamation and missions, equip believers through teaching / mentoring, edify others through ministry service, encounter God through prayer and encourage one another through fellowship.
Biblical References: Matt. 28:18-20; Col. 1:18; Eph. 1:1-3,21, 4:1-32, 5:1-21; 5:22-25, 6:4-9; Rev. 22:17; 1 Tim. 3:1-13; Acts 1:8, 20:28; John 3:29.
We practice open communion for all who believe in Jesus Christ as their personal savior and the forgiveness of sins. We believe the bread and juice are symbolic of Christ’s body given to us in the new covenant. We believe communion should be viewed as a serious matter, not to be taken lightly or in an “unworthy manner” as the Apostle Paul states in 1 Corinthians 11:23-29.
Biblical References: Matt. 26:26-29; Acts 2:42; 1 Cor. 11:23-29; Luke 22: 19-20.
We believe baptism should be by immersion. The word “baptize” comes from the Greek word meaning “to dip, dunk, submerge”. Through immersion baptism we physically identify the old sinful self being washed away, behold, the new life in Jesus Christ is born! Also, the immersion process identifies with the death, burial, and the resurrection of the body everlasting of Jesus Christ our savior. Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, “As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased” (Matt. 3:16-17).
Biblical References: Acts 8:26-40; Rom. 6:3-10; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:36-38; Matt. 3:13-17
